Current roles observed by Moonlux
These are outbound links to the original publishers. Rates and displayed requirements are copied from the listing—not estimated by Moonlux. Cards are condensed and may omit constraints such as work authorization, so confirm every requirement in the original listing. A listing can close or change between checks.
Before you apply, identify the kind of listing
| Listing type | What it usually means | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Specific project | A named need, rate, location and expected commitment. | Selection can still include a profile screen, AI interview or paid assessment. |
| Talent network | An application to a pool for future matching, not necessarily work this week. | You may hear quickly, months later, or not until a fitting project appears. |
| Research study | A bounded expert exercise, often shorter than a production project. | Confirm the fixed or hourly payment and exactly what completion requires. |
A strong résumé is necessary; a machine-readable profile may be decisive
One attorney in Moonlux’s early interviews described matching—not task setup—as the first chokepoint. Her observed flow included résumé/profile matching and a synthetic interview that asked increasingly specific questions about her expertise. That is a firsthand account, not a universal platform rule.
- Name the practice areas you can actually defend in an interview. Generic seniority is less useful than specific work, forums, instruments, industries and authorities.
- Mirror accurate terms from the listing. If your experience fits “legal research,” “regulatory,” “commercial contracts” or “evaluation,” say so plainly. Do not stuff keywords you cannot support.
- Prepare concrete examples without client confidences. Explain the problem, your role, the reasoning and the result; never expose a client or restricted matter.
- Treat a network application as eligibility, not an offer. Keep looking and keep your profile current.

Questions lawyers ask before applying
Does Moonlux take a percentage of my pay?
No. Platforms contract with and pay contributors directly. Moonlux does not take a share of their earnings.
Does an open listing mean I will receive tasks?
No. It means the publisher is accepting or advertising candidates. Matching, assessment, project inventory and performance can all affect whether work arrives.
Should I use AI during an assessment?
Only if the assessment’s written rules expressly allow it. Tool rules vary by platform, project and phase. When unclear, stop and ask the platform rather than infer permission.
Why does Moonlux show fewer roles than a platform?
The public Moonlux list is intentionally conservative: recently observed, open roles in its feed that are not restricted to an undisclosed or narrow jurisdiction. It is a conservative starting point, not a complete index of the market.
